Introduction

Everyone chases the results, but the truth is, success does not happen overnight. It is the process and steps you take to get there that matters. Dreaming of success alone is futile; the real test lies in dreaming big, planning how to get there, and executing consistently. Wilton Rogers of Simply Automate does precisely that. He combined execution and dreaming, turning his dreams into reality by making Simply Automate one of the leading Robotic Process Automation(RPA) development companies for small and medium-sized companies in the world. His drive and strategic ties with ElectroNeek pushed his company to the top.

Simply Automate focuses on developing RPA solutions for the SMB and SME market. The company came up with a golden formula to provide enterprise services for clients to gain the same profit without losing quality, service, or support. Wilton helped Simply Automate reach the top of the market as a leading player.

Over the last 25 plus years, Wilton has owned six different businesses and continued his learning path by adding his twist on things. He is always up to challenge the status quo, motivating himself through looking at the positive impact he has made on people’s lives.

Success was not an overnight journey; it took perseverance, even for Wilton Rogers, who faced many challenges on his journey. In 2008 and again in 2012, Wilton lost everything and even became homeless at one point due to challenging circumstances, which made him understand how to deal with adversity. He continued to focus on the lessons learned and improving the skill base, which led him to prosper.

Wilton Rogers puts it well, “Overcoming adversity has become easier for me because of the things I have been through, and my faith has gotten me through it and put me in a position to make an impact.” He strongly believes in himself overcoming any obstacle and respects everyone from the start to avoid unnecessary judgment. Now that’s commitment and conviction towards achieving something great.

How did it all start?

In 2017, Wilton was offered a VP position for an RPA company, believing it has the power to impact businesses all around the world, he took up the opportunity.

The first few years of Wilton’s RPA journey involved working with enterprise clients, as it was only affordable to this sector. However, in the last two and a half years, the focus has shifted to the SMB and SME sectors, a space with the best opportunity for growth. Hearing repeatedly that RPA solutions were too expensive for the above sectors led him to quit his job and start again in 2019.

RPA has completely flooded the current enterprise levels, but very few recognize its possibilities for smaller companies. As Wilton says, “RPA will be a game-changer” once small businesses see that it is very affordable and valuable. It is evident, the most significant opportunities for RPA are in the SMB and SME space.

‘RPA is changing how organizations operate now and gives the opportunity for instant change. I am very excited about the future.’

After searching but failing to find a cost-efficient vendor, Wilton found ElectroNeek. After testing and securing RPA development solutions, he quickly understood that knowing how to deliver RPA as a service could help thousands of smaller businesses. It gave rise to the beginnings of Simply Automate.

ElectroNeek’s partnership played a central role in helping Wilton build a highly successful business. In 2020, Wilton collaborated with Dimitry and Sergey, the co-founders of ElectroNeek who helped him build his client base from scratch through sharing their strong network base and guidance.

The founders along with the support team of ElectroNeek shared their expertise and RPA knowledge to assist Simply Automate in building a center of excellence, successfully meeting the automation needs for their clients, and collaborating with other top partners of ElectroNeek.

The guidance offered by ElectroNeek laid the strong foundation for Simply Automate’s success, allowing the company to scale and be highly productive. Hence, making Simply Automate one of the top players. By offering support like no other vendor, ElectroNeek fulfilled the promise of helping MSPs like Simply Automate grow and secure more revenue.

Such a strategy and partnership brought tremendous growth especially since the pandemic, with RPA becoming even more popular. According to Wilton Rogers, “RPA is changing how organizations operate now and gives the opportunity for instant change. I am very excited about the future.”

What is Simply Automate all about?

The main focus of Simply Automate is providing RPA development solutions for the SMB and SME market. With the number of businesses providing automation services to the sector mentioned above being less, there were some challenges to bypass.

The primary issue was the lack of information on the target market. Most of the RPA related information caters to enterprises, which made it difficult to sell due to the lack of any relatable processes.

Simply Automate’s success began from building their data from scratch and displaying their capabilities, attracting attention in the process. Most of the efforts involved building the foundation for the market and increasing knowledge and awareness. It was crucial to show small businesses the actual value of adopting RPA.

‘You never know what will happen if you give someone just 30 minutes of your time.’

For example, when a client mentioned he was too busy to see what Simply Automate had to offer, Wilton told him that’s the reason they need RPA to automate his busy day. To which the client said he would give 30 minutes. That was three months ago, and today Simply Automate automates his fifth process. It’s true, and Wilton says it best,” you never know what will happen if you give someone just 30 minutes of your time.”

Partnership with ElectroNeek

One of the significant factors of Simple Automate’s success was its implementation partnership with ElectroNeek. Such a partnership helped in identifying digital strategies, operating models and implementing intelligent automation solutions. Simply Automate implemented ElectroNeek’s bots for one of its clients, a small law firm. Before automating, the law firm employees collected the relevant document information from multiple sources manually, resulting in many errors and misinformation.

‘ElectroNeek has been there for us every step of the way. Our partnership with ElectroNeek is only getting stronger, and because of that, we plan to be part of their family for the life of our company.’

In the specific case above, ElectroNeek’s bots provided an end-to-end solution automating the entire process of preparing case documents. On implementing Simply Automate was able to accelerate the company’s operational cycle by 70%, lower the human error rate to zero, and enable return on investment in only three months. Now that’s an impressive task.

The reason for choosing to partner with ElectroNeek started off being the affordable pricing model. However, once Wilton’s company worked with ElectroNeek, he quickly realized their support team was unlike any other. The team helped clients whenever needed, and the company proved to be very helpful for Simply Automate.

‘With the aid of ElectroNeek, Simply Automate did an invoice processing POC for the client in 2 weeks. It saved the client over 60 hours a week of work and an ROI of 370%  in March 2021. As of July 2021, the company is working on automating the client’s seventh process.’

Beginning such a partnership increased the number of successful client stories for Wilton’s company. For instance, when a particular client was skeptical of investing in automating, after some convincing decided to try it. With the aid of ElectroNeek, Simply Automate did an invoice processing POC for him in 2 weeks, and it allowed his two employees doing this full-time to be more involved with the client. It saved the client over 60 hours a week of work and an ROI of 370%  in March 2021. As of July 2021, the company is working on automating the client’s seventh process.

Currently, Simply Automate has discontinued all other vendor partnerships and signed a silver partnership exclusively with ElectroNeek. As Wilton describes it,” They have been there for us every step of the way. Our partnership with ElectroNeek is only getting stronger, and because of that, we plan to be part of their family for the life of our company.`

‘Skepticism and lack of understanding are the two primary reasons small businesses avoid investing in automation. The way to deal with such hurdles is to know the right people to talk to, which involves a great deal of research and planning but is well worth the effort.’

Advice for MSPs

Sharing knowledge on the most challenging part of being a Managed RPA services business, Wilton Rogers provides incredible insight that can be helpful for new or existing MSPs. Managing RPA service businesses has a lot of ups and downs. The beginning of Wilton’s career involved a lot of downs. By developing a clear plan, he and his team were able to succeed.

Skepticism and lack of understanding are the two primary reasons small businesses avoid investing in automation. The way to deal with such hurdles is to know the right people to talk to, which involves a great deal of research and planning but is well worth the effort.

The truth is there are a lot of experts who say they will help but rarely do, which breaks the trust, resulting in companies no longer believing in RPA. Hence, it is crucial to call references and make sure as an MSP; you have help from the beginning so that it is easier to understand and implement without fail. The pearls of wisdom provided are from years of valuable experience and can help your company become a top player.

Achievements that last a lifetime

Wilton Rogers inspires many people by sharing his clients’ success stories and the impact RPA services had on them. It is the motivational force for him, knowing he can be helpful and add value to others in the industry.

Wilton Rogers had many outstanding achievements over the years, but his favorite is building a fantastic team. The main priority of Simply Automate Inc. is building a culture of bringing hope and opportunity to a market that got forgotten. The focus of all his employees is to make other’s lives better.

One time as a joke, on a Monday team meeting, Wilton had his camera off and suddenly turned it on, yelling ‘BOO,’ wearing a scary mask, which had a couple of the team members scream. Remembering the incident, Wilton says, “It was the funniest thing in the world. I thought that would be a great way to start our week, and it was. LOL!” Such a jovial nature shows the kind of fantastic work culture present.

Another great piece of advice from Wilton includes work-life balance and its importance, especially with a diverse workforce. It is vital to ensure employees don’t burn out. A practice followed at Simply Automate is to take two minutes before the Monday meeting to talk about everyone’s weekend, to get to know each other, and create a bond based on respect.
