Epiroc automated order routing and billing
With ElectroNeek bots, Epiroc automated order routing and billing processes, saving sales managers 20,000+ FTE hours annually across product lines and reducing corresponding overtime by 85%.
Epiroc is a leading global productivity partner for the mining and infrastructure industries. They develop and produce innovative, safe, and sustainable drill rigs, as well as rock excavation and construction equipment and tools. With over 14,000 employees in more than 150 countries, Epiroc provides world-class service and solutions for automation and interoperability. In 2019, the company’s revenue reached SEK 41 billion.
Epiroc’s sales teams were receiving hundreds of pricing requests daily for spare mining parts and consumables. Due to the huge amount of time required to process these requests, the task was decentralized and spread among several business units. Work overload resulted in multiple requests getting lost or stuck in the processing cycle.
Automation of order processing saved sales managers 20,000+ FTE hours annually
Bots built in ElectroNeek Studio increased efficiency by automating order request management.
An ElectroNeek bot automates the invoicing process by downloading and recognizing email attachments. Within the process, the bot checks for order fulfillment. Upon validation, it logs in to the SAP Logon system and checks to see if the items are in stock. If any of the items are out of stock, a bot opens the M3 Online website to calculate the delivery time. If the item is unavailable on M3 Online, the bot sends a request to Jira to search for the item by SKU number.
A bot runs Lotus Notes, where it searches for the customer by TIN, fills in the customer details for the invoice, and generates the actual invoice. Then it emails the invoice to the customer and informs stakeholders that the task has been completed.[ED1]
The automation vastly reduced equipment downtime, saving sales managers more than 20,000 FTE hours annually.
Quicker processing of inbound customer requests reduced equipment downtime and improved customer service
Freed up more than 20,000 hours of sales managers' time per year across several product lines, increasing employee productivity and reducing overtime
ElectroNeek bots improved Epiroc’s data management system by increasing the accuracy of data provided to customers.
Using bots, the sales team was able to process the incoming applications faster and more accurately. The accurate invoice generation improved customer relations and enabled Epiroc’s employees to boost their performance.
Epiroc plans to deploy more bots in the future to automate additional mundane and time-consuming data-processing tasks.
