With ElectroNeek’s robots, Epiroc automated order routing and billing processes and thus saved 20 000+ FTE hours of sales managers annually across several business lines and reduced corresponding overtime by 85%.
Epiroc is a leading global productivity partner for the mining and infrastructure industries. Epiroc develops and produces innovative, safe, and sustainable drill rigs, rock excavation, and construction equipment and tools. The company provides world-class service and solutions for automation and interoperability. In 2019 Epiroc’s revenue reached SEK 41 billion. It has more than 14 000 employees in more than 150 countries.
Epiroc’s sales teams daily received hundreds of requests for mining spare parts and consumables pricing requests. Due to the huge amount of time required to process these requests this task was decentralized and involved other business units’ team members. Due to work overload, multiple applications/requests were lost or stuck in the processing cycle.
Automation of orders processing saved 20 000+ FTE hours of sales managers' time annually
Bots built in ElectroNeek Studio automated the order requests management.
An ElectroNeek bot automates the invoicing process by downloading and recognizing email attachments. Within the process the bot checks for the order fulfillment and upon the validation process it logs into the SAP Logon system and checks the stock items. In case any of the items are out of stock a bot opens the M3 Online website to get the lead time required to calculate the delivery time. In case the item is out of the M3 Online it sends a request to Jira to find the item by an SKU number.
A bot runs Lotus Notes where it searches a customer by TIN, fills in the customer details for an invoice generation, and generates the actual invoice. Then it sends the invoice to the customer by email and notifies stakeholders about the completion of the task.
The automation reduced equipment downtime and saved more than 20 000 FTE hours of sales managers annually.
Quicker processing of inbound customer requests reduced equipment downtime and improved their customer service
More than 20 000 hours of sales managers' time per year was freed up across several business lines, increasing employee productivity and reducing overtimes
ElectroNeek bots accelerated Epiroc’s data management system by increasing the accuracy of data provided to customers.
The sales team was able to process the incoming applications faster and accurately with bots. The accurate invoice generation improved customer relations and allowed Epiroc’s employees to boost performance.
Epiroc plans to deploy more bots in the future to automate more mundane time-consuming data processing tasks.
